Phil Gurney is a freelance lighting cameraman with extensive experience across a wide range of broadcast and corporate productions. Based in Edinburgh, Scotland he works throughout the UK and worldwide consistently delivering creative, editable material in a range of styles to suit diverse production requirements.
Phil’s 15 years of experience covers documentary, news, lifestyle, factual, children’s, sport, live broadcasts, aerial filming, corporate productions and commercials, with regular clients including the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, The Discovery Channel, Sky and IMG Sports Media. He works with all broadcast camera formats from HDCam to P2 and is happy to provide whatever equipment is needed for your production large or small. Furthermore, if you require your material to be edited, this can be easily arranged utilising high-end Final Cut Pro suites, so please call to discuss. Phil also has excellent contacts with other broadcast professionals in Scotland – whether you need a sound recordist, editor, jib operator, autocue operator or director, he can recommend the best.
Phil is CRB checked by Disclosure Scotland for working with children and vulnerable adults and has Public Liability Insurance. He also has an up-to-date American i-Visa for working in the United States, valid until 2017.
